FULL ENTRY LIST FOR BRITISH QUADCROSS & SIDECARCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP ROUND AT DESERTMARTIN 1ST APRI

North Armagh Motorcycle and Car Club Off Road are pleased to announce in conjunction with the ACU & NORAMX the full Championship entry lists for the British Quadcross Championships held at Desertmartin on 1st April .

The MAXXIS British Sidecarcross Championship has the biggest field of Sidecars ever seen in Ireland since the days of the Whitehead based World Championship Grands Prix with 30 outfits entered, 23 from outside Ireland, including 3 Wildcard entries from Northern Ireland.

The entry is headed by multi British Champion and third in the World Championships in 2016, and of course a Grand Prix Winner Stuart Brown and new passenger Joe Millard from Macclesfield on their VMC Zabel 700cc two stroke, Stuart will start as favourite despite a new passenger, albeit an experienced one in Joe Millard, but he will be hotly pursued by runner up in last year’s British Championship Brett Wilkinson and Dan Chamberlain, Brett and Dan finished 7th in the World last year on their Zabel 700/WSP outfit, but these two head a talent filled field.

Crews such as Birmingham based Tony Grahame and Harley Lloyd, Paul Pelling and Chris Pannel on their big VMC Husqvarna 750, Mike Hodges and Charlie Ide, and of course we have the home outfits to cheer on.

Lisburn based Neil Campbell & Craig Parmenter head the home entry on their Zabel WSP hoping to hit the podium after finishing 4th in 2016, neighbours Gary Moulds with Steve Kirwin on board on their VMC KTM, will be looking to maintain their recent form where they beat Neil at Desrtmartin, his first defeat in over two years on home soil, and of course, bug sister Emma Moulds with Niki Adair in the chair will be looking to break into the top ten after their sensational year in 2016.

Newly registered Dean Faulkner & Gordon Ringland have been working hard all winter on their fitness in preparation for their British Championship campaign and have been showing great speed, while Wild Card entries Geoff & David Ingram, Dave McCourt & Andy McKibben and veteran crew Tony Willis & Ian Glenn will be looking to pick up points in the packed field.

The Cromwell Trucks/Lloyd Acoustics Quadcross Championship is similarly well packed, especially with local talent with reigning British Champion Mark McLernon from Hillsborough heading up the entry on his new Yamaha, he will be hotly pursued by multi British Champion Paul Holmes from Harrogate on his Yamaha, with Ollie Sansom from Sutton Coldfield in the mix as well.

Local talent is overflowing in this class with veteran Justin Reid, multi British & Ulster Champion, and reigning Irish & Ulster Champion looking to add to his trophy collection in his 22nd year of racing, as well as multi Ulster Champ David Cowan from Banbridge on his immaculate Yamaha’s, and reigning British Under 21 Champion Leon Rodgers from Navan as well.

In the concurrently run Rookies & Under 21 Championship, look out for talented and hard working Newtownards quiet man Blake McCormick to be on the podium, as well as talented Republic of Ireland rider Kyle Murphy, and reigning Ulster & Irish Clubman Champion 17 year old Lorne Sinclair from Scotland to join him, although these are two talent packed Championships.

Racing will start at 11,00 am at the Grand Prix circuit at Desertmartin, so come along to see some action packed motorsport on 1st April, you won’t be disappointed.
